BashStyle-NG: A useful idea poorly implemented
Inside BashStyle-NG, a strong idea struggles to be born. On one hand, if you use the bash shell at all, you will likely find several of BashStyle-NG’s customization options worth trying — all the more so because they are only a few mouse clicks away. On the other, a poorly designed interface makes using theContinue reading “BashStyle-NG: A useful idea poorly implemented”
Apple Time Capsule – Disk Utility Info
This Link shows the disk info on the disk in the Apple Time Capsule. It seems likely that we can look forward to additional Wine improvements as Google continues to participate in ongoing Wine development.Link YeahContinue reading “Google intoxicates Linux users with Wine improvements”
Using MySQL as a filesystem
With MySQLfs you can store a filesystem inside a MySQL relational database. MySQLfs breaks up the byte content of files that you store in its filesystem into tuples in the database, which allows you to store large files in the filesystem without requiring the database to support extremely large BLOB fields. With MySQLfs you canContinue reading “Using MySQL as a filesystem”
Hotwire
Interesting Project.. Hotwire is an object-oriented hypershell. It is a shell designed for systems programming (files, processes), and thus it is in the same conceptual category of software as the Unix shell terminal and Windows PowerShell. The goal of the Hotwire project though is to create a better systems programming shell than both Unix and PowerShell.Continue reading “Hotwire”
