Mordheim – Carnival of Chaos warband – First Try!

And to be complete, the first try at my Carnival of Chaos troupe..

It was a quick first try with a lil help, and I was Unable to play it with any degree of success! ANY degree. 🙂

  Nurgle’s Rot

Model is Immune to Poison. If the model hits on a 6, the target model is infected with Nurgle’s Rot (does not affect Undead, Daemons or Possessed) The victem is not killed immediately. Before the start of each battle,the victem must pass a Toughness test. If unsuccessful, the model loses one point of Toughness, permanantly. Models reaching zero are dead. In addition, if a 6 is rolled on the Toughness test, he has passed the Rot onto another member of the Warband, (roll randomly.)

  Cloud of Flies

All models in close combat suffer a -1 to hit on all attacks.

  Daemonic Instability

If taken Out of Action, daemons are banished on 1-3 instead of the normal 1-2 to kill a henchman. In addition, if the warband routs, all Daemons must make a Leadership test or be banished and count as destroyed.

  Dagger

+1 armour save, or save of 6+ if the model has none.

  Double-Handed Weapon

+2 Strength. Always strike last in combat. Requires 2 hands to use.

  Halberd

+1 Strength. Requires 2 hands to use.

  Hammer

Concussion: Injury rolls of 2-4 cause the victim to be ‘Stunned’.

  Spear

Always strikes first in the first round of combat, even if charged. +1 Strength on cavalry charge. Unwieldy: may not use a second weapon.

Total Warband Cost: 496 GC.

Notes:

Heroes get new advances at 2, 4, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 41, 46, 51, 57, 63, 69, 76, 83 and 90 experience.

Henchmen and Hired Swords get new advances at 2, 5, 9 and 14 experience.

Heroes make Insanity Rolls at 1, 8, 15, 22, 28, 34, 40, 45, 50, 55, 59, 63, 67, 71, 74, 77, 80, 83, 85, 87, and 89 Insanity Points. Character must retire at 90 Insanity Points. Roll 4D6 and consult the chart in Town Cryer 8. This is done immediately.

Gain as follows: +1 for failing a fear or terror test, casting a Chaos or Necromantic spell, receiving a critical wound, getting poisoned or taking drugs. Cultists, Dregs, Magisters, and Necromancers gain 1/2 IP’s.
