Greg told me to get myself an identi.ca account, it being the open source counterpart of twitter & me being such an account freak (asin Ive got almost anything :s)
This was facilitated by the fact that identica has openID support, so that I only needed to fill in my openID to create my account.
Now all I need is a decent WP plugin (that does the daily digest & posts my bloggings to identi.ca) and I can switch to that instead of twitter..& offcourse somehow have my identi.ca posts transferred to twitter too..
Sadly, I wasnt able to find a decent identi.ca WP plugin so far
